What I know

I’ve been told you can play the guitar very beautifully,

that you can play Silvio Rodriguez as well as some Paco de Lucia‘s flamenco,

I wonder is you still play…

I wonder if you know how much I enjoy Silvio and Paco.

 

I’ve been told you’re very kind;

I’ve heard good stories about you

and I believe them because that’s all I have.

 

I know you had a motorcycle

that you were (or perhaps are)  a vegetarian.

I know you had long shiny hair…I’ve never seen it,

but I believe it.

 

I also know you have kids,

I don’t know how many, or their ages.

I don’t know their names.

 

Sometimes I wish I could know more about you,

just a little bit more.

Perhaps it’s in me to change this,

maybe I should act upon it.
