Árbol

His eyesight focuses south,

over the river,

the close by sand

and the gorgeous cloudless sky.

He cools me down,

lets me breath.

He’s my Sunday companion in this last summer day.

He stands strong

nurturing ants and spiders

woodpeckers and eagles.

His labour goes beyond creating chlorophyll and oxygen;

He nurtures my soul,

he cherishes my spirit.

He is a loyal soldier of Mother Earth,

and today, with all my gratitude

I dedicate him this poem.
